Heirloom Machine Quilting

We will learn what Harriet is famous for!  Unique machine quilting techniques that will turn quilt tops into heirlooms using your sewing machine.  Hands-on exercises will be used to develop machine quilting skills, from walking foot ditch quilting to free motion feathers.  This class is much more than sewing time.  Extensive information on workspace, threads, tension issues, preparing the quilt top, batting and finishing are a few of the topics covered, in addition to the most tried and true building block system for learning free motion quilting skills.   Most of all, encouragement and excitement is taught, giving students permission to become great machine quilters.

If time permits, on Sunday, Harriet has offered to critique your quilt top for quilting technique – so bring one you would like some help with!
