Schedule for Heirloom Machine Quilting Retreat

Harriet has been called the “Fairy Godmother” of machine quilting.  When she first introduced free motion quilting in 1984 at Houston Quilt Market, Harriet set the quilting world on its ear, and has been changing the look of quilting ever since.  Harriet’s book, Heirloom Machine Quilting, first released in 1987 and now is in its fourth edition, changed how we quilt.  Harriet is also the author of From Fiber to Fabric,  which is the quilters textbook for all things from the creation of fabric and batting to the care of your quilt.

Heirloom Machine Quilting is Harriet’s favorite class to teach, as the enthusiasm of the students is contagious.  This is the class she is famous for!  Award winning quilters like Diane Gaudynski and Debra Wagner began their machine quilting careers in Harriet’s beginner’s class.  Harriet is the owner of Harriet’s Treadle Arts in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, works with Hobbs Bonded Fibers to develop new quilt battings and designs authentic reproduction fabrics for P&B Textiles.
