Cindy began quilting in 1996 after taking a class that included on its supply list “cardboard from a cereal box to make templates”.   She took this class in Bermuda while working there as an insurance broker as an escape from the corporate world and, in spite of the class list, she became hooked.  A transfer to Seattle a few years later enabled her to take some great classes, attend the International Quilt Festivals in Houston and Chicago to soak in all the fabulous quilts and take classes from additional teachers and, best of all, visit all of the quilt stores in the surrounding area.  So, in moving back to Bermuda in 2002, she was able to take with her some fun projects and a great stash to get through the rainy winters with.

Now relocated to Montana and retired from corporate life, Cindy enjoys her two grandsons, who each get a quilt of their choosing for their birthdays.  They have enjoyed seeing how their handprints, appliquéd to the back of the quilt with the label, have grown over the years.  When not quilting, Cindy can be found hiking or practicing yoga.

In creating the quilt retreat business, Cindy blends two elements of her life that bring joy – Montana and quilting!  It is her hope that the retreats, and the nationally known teachers they will bring to Montana, will enrich all who attend.
